Would recommend and/pr purchase from them again. If you want to be entertained, laugh and discover some Southern recipes that will make your mouth water, then this book or any other written by Jill Conner Browne is the ticket. The seller did a superb job of sending the book in wonderful condition and promptly.
When we were having a "Southern" theme night for our cooking club, I thought - PERFECT. This cookbook had me in stitches when I heard it on an audio CD that I borrowed from the library. Buy this book. I plan on buying a few more of the books to hand out to my girlfriends. I would sit in my car at my destination so I could hear the rest of a chapter or paragraph and LLLAAAUUUGGGHH. I love her sense of humor.
My husband loves the Margarita recipe best. And share I have with others needing to smile. Friends keep wanting to borrow my copy, so I keep them on hand to give away. I read it out loud to my husband and he laughed with me.
This book was given to me by my sheep shearer after my mom died. We have tried many of the recipes and been pleasantly surprised that they are each keepers, and become regulars on our menus. It helps that the recipes are really good. I was sad and she knew I needed to smile again.
I am again ordering 3 more. I would not be without this cookbook, read it again and laugh again each time. And smile I did. (actually - laugh out loud).
Great gift. I love, love, love this book. So if that offends you don't buy, but otherwise it is a HOOT.Anyone would love to know how to make "Pig Candy" right. It does have some swear words. Everyone wants to borrow it. It is so funny and it's a cookbook too.
foodies. Hey this skinny melinky kid from the Bronx (me) laughed myself silly through 3 or 4 commutes to and from work-- loving this book. You can BET I'm gonna make (and eat and G-d help whoever tries to take a portion of it from me). all of those recipes -- especially that Hostess Twinky Pie.A great book with irreverent wit, humor, great cuss words, sensitivity in the right places and a Boe-Day-Shuss (hey I'm from the Bronx -- we can't spell Southern words) outlook on life and.
